Blue Streak Scholarship Fund

About Our Hosts

The Blue Streak Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2003. Our purpose is to raise funds to provide scholarships for the students in the Jubilee Catholic Schools Network. Our goal is to bring the community together to create a better education and a better future for our children.

Bishop Steib had a vision of reopening closed Catholic schools to serve children in the inner-city Memphis area. In 1999, a group of anonymous donors came forward with the initial investment needed to make this vision a reality. The schools began reopening in 2000 and were named in honor of the Jubilee year, a year of grace, mercy and celebration.
Today there are nine schools in the Jubilee Network that serve approximately 1600 students. Known nationally as the “Miracle in Memphis”, these schools provide an academically rigorous and vibrantly Catholic education that prepares students to become all that God created them to be.

We would love to provide a tour of one of the Jubilee schools so you can witness the difference you are making in the lives of the children and families we serve. To schedule a tour or for more information about the Jubilee Catholic Schools Network, visit jubileeschools.org or call 901.373.1205. The Jubilee schools are a recipient of a matching grant from the Hyde Family Foundation. All donations to the Blue Streak Scholarship Fund will apply to the grant challenge doubling your donation and making an even bigger impact.

“The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.” ~Mother Teresa
